Kirstie Nelson’s Website

Kirstie Nelson's Yoga Website

Case Study

How we helped Kirstie create a brand and platform that she could use to develop and grow her online Yoga business.

Project Objectives

Uniqueness

Kirstie's website needed to stand out against the rest and broadcast her unique services.

Simplicity

Kirstie's website needed to be simple to understand and easy to access for her clientele.

User Friendly

Most importantly, Kirstie's website needed to be friendly and kind to new and existing clients.

Meet The Client

Kirstie Nelson is a highly experienced RYT-500 Certified yoga instructor, Disney on Ice Principal Performer and former competitive figure skater. Kirstie first started yoga as a figure skater to complement her training. As she transitioned from skating to the corporate world yoga became more than a physical practice for her. Kirstie used yoga as a way to de-stress from her hectic schedule and release tension from sitting at a desk. Kirstie uses her athletic knowledge and experience to create and lead others through her yoga practices. Her goal is to help others lead happier and healthier lives.

Kirstie's Current Situation.

So why is it that Kirstie needed our help in the first place?

"I really can’t say enough good things about the incredible work Social Squared has done for me in building a website for my new my yoga business. They are creative geniuses!"

Kirstie Nelson

Kirstie’s online VinoYoga classes are nothing short of unique and any unique business needs an equally unique and powerful website. We built Kirstie’s website from the ground up to meet all the distinctive needs of her business, and to take her business to the next level.

The Best Solution For Kirstie.

With Kirstie’s business being brand new it was very important that her website could be used to promote her online Yoga classes. Provide clients with the information they needed. And allow clients to book classes right on her site.

The process of creating Kirstie’s website was super easy and straightforward for her but don’t take it from us, here’s a quote from Kirstie herself:

"I know next to nothing about website creation and from the right from the get-go, these gentlemen were able to put me at ease and walk me through the whole process step-by step. After laying out their plan to me and explaining their plan of action in great detail during our first video chat meeting, I felt fully confident that my site was in good hands and they would bring my vision to life. From always being available to chat and answer questions, to fully updating me with the completion of each phase of the project, and not to mention the quick, yet flawless execution of it all, I’ve been completely blown away"

Kitstie Nelson

What Was The Challenge At Hand?

Being a brand new business, there are many challenges that presented themselves. Kirstie’s website needed to be able to not only attract new clients but also support her existing ones. Kirstie being a experienced Yogi and certified Yoga instructor herself needed a website that matched her expierence and level of expertise.

Creating Kirstie’s Digital Presence/Brand

Kirstie’s website was built out completely for her to review within a few days as the web designers here at Social Squared worked day in and day out. The level of communication provided by Social Squared throughout the project far exceeds the industry standards.

“I felt fully confident that my site was in good hands and they would bring my vision to life. From always being available to chat and answer questions, to fully updating me with the completion of each phase of the project, and not to mention the quick, yet flawless execution of it all, I’ve been completely blown away.  The fact that we live on either sides of the country and all our communication has been online through phone calls and messaging has not been an issue at all.”

How We Exceeded Kirstie's Expectations.

Rather than telling you how we blew Kirstie’s expectations out of the water, I’ll let her do the talking instead.

Our communication with Noreen and the speed at which we made the requested changes to her website months after it was done is what she would say impressed her the most. We took Noreen’s (and every client’s) needs seriously and normally made the change immediately and had the changes communicated within the day, if not the hour.

We take communication with client’s seriously and treat it as an ear that’s always listening.

Case Study

How we helped Noreen create a platform she could take pride in and more importantly, manage herself.

Project Objectives

Uniqueness

Noreens website needed to stand out against the rest and broadcast her unique services.

Simplicity

Noreens website needed to be simple to understand and easy to access for her clientele.

User Friendly

Most importantly, Noreens website needed to be friendly and kind to new and existing clients.

Meet The Client

Noreen Leadbetter is a highly motivated and detail oriented Registered Nurse with a successful career in education, nursing management, clinical nursing and administration. Extensive knowledge of CNO and RNAO best practice guidelines, professional nursing theories and techniques and an in depth understanding of the healthcare system. In her journey to become the best teacher and sharer of nursing knowledge, Noreen decided that running her own courses and teaching both teenagers and young adults, she could share this exam preparation material and future planning material efficiently.

Her Current Situation.

So why is it that Noreen needed our help in the first place?

Well, as she told us:

"I need you to create me a website or a platform in which I can direct interested students to that will tell them why they need my course."

Noreen Leadbetter

Noreen’s current method of sharing her care and knowledge for the NCLEX preparation course, OSCE preparation course and her popular among highschool students course, ‘Is Nursing For Me?’ course, was word of mouth.

Web Design Solution

The Best Solution For Noreen.

After pinning down what the challenges she was facing were, we knew that our role was simply to create the cleanest, most responsive and to the point bullet point information, course calendar and registration site, possible. Creating her website was as easy as having our Social Squared designers create the best concept site and decide how we can deliver the most information, the fastest and make it engaging.

Communicating back and forth, day to day was easy with Noreen as we had close communication on a messaging app so getting the text/information that we needed for her website was fast and implemented immediately.

What Was The Challenge At Hand?

Noreen has been teaching in the nursing industry for a long time and over countless hours on the phone, knows all of the ins and outs of the industry as well. She had no platform to share the existence of her courses with and understood that this was an important aspect of today’s digital presence.

We also knew that Noreen needed a way to direct people to her website after she had spoken with them in person so they could visit and register on her website later.

Creating Noreen’s Digital Presence/Brand

Noreen’s website was built out completely for her to review within a few days as Jacob and Alex worked day in and day out on it. We have had communication with Noreen far outside of “regular business hours” as we strive to get her business off the ground as fast as humanly possible.

We also knew that Noreen needed a way to direct people to her website after she had spoken with them in person so they could visit and register on her website later.

I don’t make Thai food often, but when I do I always love it! These spicy Thai peanut noodles were no exception! They are easy to make, require minimal cooking (the only thing that needs to be cooked is the pasta), and I love the crunch factor from the fresh veggies, peanuts and sesame seeds.

We love the fact that EVERYTHING in this recipe cooks in one skillet—the beef, the sauce, and the macaroni. Once you cook pasta this way, you’ll never go back to boiling water again.

It doesn’t get much easier than this by cooking everything in one pot. Italian sausage and pasta sauce with spaghetti noodles that you can have on the table in less than 45 minutes. Switch it up by using ground beef, chicken, or turkey along with any other of your favorite ingredients, such as sliced mushrooms.

The only time we really think about eating chicken drumsticks is when we roast a whole chicken. We forget to cook them on their own sometimes, but with this simple baked recipe, we’re about to start! After a quick marinade, these drumsticks bake in the oven in no time and stay extremely tender and juicy. The high heat helps the skin get nice and crispy for a perfectly baked drumstick!

Top 3 Ways to Win Clients Trust and Business

How Do I Build a Re-pour with a Client?

You’re a small business and we love that. Every business needs to start right at the bottom to learn the pillars of running and owning a business.

Even though every business needs to start at the bottom, Social Squared is here to help you as best we can to rocket off into the big leagues with a few small tips about CLIENT HAPPINESS AND TRUST!

Lets hit this off with the NUMBER 1 thing you should be doing as a small business to ensure your clients are as happy as they can be when you finish a project, contract, job, etc for them!

Newsletter

Get all the updates with our latest posts, promotions, Contests AND Giveaways.

Step One: Instant Communication

When we talk about instant communication, we mean INSTANT! The number one attribute a client loves to see is a responsive contractor. When you receive a message via any of the platforms you communicate over, you need to be responsive and take action immediately by responding with answers to any questions they might have. If you are business with another clients project, responding is just as crucial! Just take 15 seconds to reply with a simple answer such as:

“Let me get back to you regarding X, Y and Z. I will ensure you receive a full response by the
end of the day!”

More than anything, a paying client likes to hear that you are online, active and paying attention to their
needs!

Step Two: Get on it, As Fast As Possible

Once you have clearly communicated what you will be doing for your client, get on it as soon as you possibly can! I know one thing for sure and that’s that a client loves nothing more than seeing changes made to their project within minutes of asking for those same changes to be made. This shows commitment, it shows you know what you are doing and more than anything else, it shows you care about the client!

Step Three: Don't Lie About Problems or Errors

Besides communication and action, what Social Squared has found is the fact that clients (and anyone for that matter) love honesty within their projects. If you should ever run into an issue, error, bug, problem, etc with their project, you try your best to fix it, Google it, ask a friend that you can trust. After all of your immediate solutions have been exhausted and if you still don’t have a fix, you tell your client something like this:

“I have run into a small issue with ‘Project X’ that seems to be taking more time than expected, I apologize for this but I am working hard to ensure it is fixed and we can move forward as soon as possible!”

Obviously, what happens after you send that message is you work as many hours as you need to to
make sure that gets fixed AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!

How to Finish a Project Like a Boss

How Giving an Extra Look Can Increase Your Profits

You’ve just finished your first, second or maybe your 100th project for a client that you loved working with.

STOP!

What if I told you that it didn’t have to be the end and that you could continue working with this client and have them continue to pay you?

This is what we call ‘After-Project Processes’ or in plain English, the work we do with the client
after the main project has been finished.

While the process changes slightly, these thoughts and procedures can be applied to almost any type of business including services, e-commerce, products, etc.

Newsletter

Here's the Secret Tip...

After your work is done, you need to figure out how or when that client will run into a wall and need further services done. For example, when we finish the bulk of the work on a clients website or Social Media, we understand that the work and maintenance is far from over. That website needs someone to manually update plugins, update SEO, ensure the site security is constantly watched.

All this to say, the work is far from done even after you’re done the main, paid for project.

Write, Maintain, Complete

Present these jobs/tasks to your client and make them aware of what each task means and how important it really is to their business. If all of the tasks are presented properly and the client was happy with the work initially done, you should have no problem bringing them on to a monthly maintenance contract.

Pro Tip: After committing to a monthly maintenance contract, ensure that you write down every single tiny detail of things that you fix or change because a lot of this work is back-end that your client won’t always see. You need to work based on client-trust because when you lose that, you lose a valuable customer.

1. Influencer Marketing

Now you may have heard of this term before, but do you really know what it means? Influencer marketing allows for popular pages to promote your page and gets your page exposure on a much larger level. However, not everyone uses influencers to their fullest extent. Have you ever paid for an influencer and gotten little to know results. Have you ever wondered, how to get the right influencer for my brand?

Well it is kind of time consuming. First you must find high following pages in your niche, and then contact them and see what they charge to be promoted either on their social media page, or their social media stories. Either way this can be an expensive and time consuming task and is more often left to the professionals.

increase social media followers

2. Scheduled Posting

Having a great brand and amazing product is great and all but how are people going to know about it, if you don’t post about it? Furthermore, how are people going to know or what to know about this amazing product if you don’t constantly tell people about it?

That’s right. They wont Having a schedule that you stick to as a brand about posting on social media is crucial, as this gives a reason for a random person to follow you. Even if what you are posting isn’t the greatest piece of content in the world, it’s something to tell people you aren’t a dead page.

Having a schedule is nice as well as it gives you more organization as a brand and makes your audience trusts you, this is going to be huge going into 2020.

increase social media followers

3. Hashtag Research

Okay, okay, we get it, you use hashtags. But are you using them properly? That’s right, you have to have a strategic hashtag strategy in 2020 to get noticed by random users that are interested in your page and product. So how do you find the right hashtags for your brand? Well like influencer marketing, that will take some time, you have to first identify what you want your brand to stand for and find hashtags related to that.

Find hashtags that are so “Watered down” and overly saturated with random posts. Find hashtags that have activity but not too much. Then once you have found one golden hashtag, don’t stop there, look what other people are using that hashtag and use that too or at least look into that.

As chances are that will be your competition and its crucial to always keep your hashtags up to date. This will take monthly maintenance and once again is better left to professionals.

Sarah Barreiros Case Study

Web Design Case Study

Sarah Barreiros' Blog Website

Case Study

How we helped Sarah create a platform she could take pride in and more importantly, manage herself.

Project Objectives

Uniqueness

Sarah's blog needed to be unique and eye catching to visitors and readers alike.

Simplicity

Sarah's blog needed to be simple, easy to navigate, easy to read and easy to create.

Complete Control

Most importantly, Sarah's blog needed to be hers. Complete control over how the site was managed.

Meet The Client

Sarah Barreiros, 27 years of age, a professional travel, figure skating and health blogger is who approached Social Squared to look for a way that she could increase traffic and in turn, viewership to her blogs that she spends a lot of time writing. Sarah writes her blogs while she travels the world with Disney on Ice

Her Current Situation.

So why is it that Sarah needed our help in the first place?

Well, as she told us:

"My blogs barely get any traffic because I post them on another website that doesn’t spend the time or money to entice visitors to dive deeper into the site and discover new content.”

Sarah Barreiros

This is actually the case for a lot of bloggers. They are given a platform that is guaranteed to see more traffic than their own normally would after just starting out but the platform is not maintained or managed properly.

Web Design Solution

The Best Solution For Sarah.

After pinning down what the challenges she was facing were, we knew that our role was simply to create the cleanest, most responsive and to the point blog website that we possibly could. We had discussed many different options with Sarah regarding what other options were available but she had no control over management of her old blog page. The only thing she can control is the quality of her blogs (which were already of high quality) and where she posted them. This is how our team and her came to the conclusion that her own blog page would be the best option for her journalism.

What Was The Challenge At Hand?

Immediately after having our first meeting with Sarah, we knew our work was cut out for us. She needed a platform in which she could create, post and promote her own content without having to rely on anyone or anything else. We came to the conclusion together that what she needed was an entirely new place to post her blogs. Her own blog website.

Web Design Case Study

How We Exceeded Sarah’s Expectations.

When we started building Sarah’s website, we made sure she was aware of every single thing we were doing and what sort of backend maintenance was going on. Some of the information we presented, Sarah had a decent grasp of but some of it was brand new and incredibly useful to her such as tagging blog types and specifying headings to increase search engine readability. To quote Sarah herself:

Her Current Situation.

So why is it that Sarah needed our help in the first place?

Well, as she told us:

"My blogs barely get any traffic because I post them on another website that doesn’t spend the time or money to entice visitors to dive deeper into the site and discover new content.”

This is actually the case for a lot of bloggers. They are given a platform that is guaranteed to see more traffic than their own normally would after just starting out but the platform is not maintained or managed properly.

“My new blog is absolutely stunning, with a responsive design, perfect for mobile and tablet browsing. Easy to access, to blog, to share and to develop. To top it all off there is a team of friendly, helpful support staff to answer any question I have.”
