Sarah Barreiros' Blog Website

Case Study

How we helped Sarah create a platform she could take pride in and more importantly, manage herself.

Project Objectives

Uniqueness

Sarah's blog needed to be unique and eye catching to visitors and readers alike.

Simplicity

Sarah's blog needed to be simple, easy to navigate, easy to read and easy to create.

Complete Control

Most importantly, Sarah's blog needed to be hers. Complete control over how the site was managed.

Meet The Client

Sarah Barreiros, 27 years of age, a professional travel, figure skating and health blogger is who approached Social Squared to look for a way that she could increase traffic and in turn, viewership to her blogs that she spends a lot of time writing. Sarah writes her blogs while she travels the world with Disney on Ice

Her Current Situation.

So why is it that Sarah needed our help in the first place?

Well, as she told us:

"My blogs barely get any traffic because I post them on another website that doesn’t spend the time or money to entice visitors to dive deeper into the site and discover new content.”

Sarah Barreiros

This is actually the case for a lot of bloggers. They are given a platform that is guaranteed to see more traffic than their own normally would after just starting out but the platform is not maintained or managed properly.

Web Design Solution

The Best Solution For Sarah.

After pinning down what the challenges she was facing were, we knew that our role was simply to create the cleanest, most responsive and to the point blog website that we possibly could. We had discussed many different options with Sarah regarding what other options were available but she had no control over management of her old blog page. The only thing she can control is the quality of her blogs (which were already of high quality) and where she posted them. This is how our team and her came to the conclusion that her own blog page would be the best option for her journalism.

What Was The Challenge At Hand?

Immediately after having our first meeting with Sarah, we knew our work was cut out for us. She needed a platform in which she could create, post and promote her own content without having to rely on anyone or anything else. We came to the conclusion together that what she needed was an entirely new place to post her blogs. Her own blog website.

Web Design Case Study

How We Exceeded Sarah’s Expectations.

When we started building Sarah’s website, we made sure she was aware of every single thing we were doing and what sort of backend maintenance was going on. Some of the information we presented, Sarah had a decent grasp of but some of it was brand new and incredibly useful to her such as tagging blog types and specifying headings to increase search engine readability. To quote Sarah herself:
